WEEKY CLEANING SCHEDULE - FREE PRINTABLE

I sat down and decided which room(s) I would clean on which day of the week. Then I made up a list and posted it so that everyone in the family could see it. I then let everyone know, that the room listed on the day of the week would be a family project to clean. That generally meant that everyone would scour the room and pick up any items that belonged to them. (Of course, I put the caveat in, that Mom could change which room was the priority for that day).

I found that when everyone participated together, the clean up went MUCH faster and since the kids knew what was expected each day, I didn’t fight with attitudes or complaining. In fact, the majority of the days, it was the kids who were reminding me which room needed cleaning that day.

For me the kitchen is the hardest room to keep clean - there is always some kind of mess whether it is crumbs on the floor from the toddler, dishes to be washed or put away, or piles of papers to go through on the island...

the kitchen is the hardest to keep clean. the end of the cupboard becomes a 'dropping off' point for mail, keys, gadgets etc. and it spills onto the table if not careful. If items aren't put away as soon as used the kitchen looks messy.
