IS MY BABY EATING ENOUGH?

It is common to worry that your baby isn’t consuming enough milk. Chances are, however, that your child is satisfied. As long as your baby is content after feeding, all is alright. If you are very concerned, it is a good idea to ask your pediatrician for advice.

WHY IS MY BABY CRYING SO MUCH?

There are a few obvious reasons why your baby is crying. Try to remember that this is the only way for your sweet little one to communicate. Babies cry when they are hungry, tired, want to be snuggled or need a diaper change, which can seem never-ending. Sometimes, babies cry because they just want to cry. The best thing you can do is find soothing techniques that work for you and your family.

IS EVERYDAY GOING TO BE THIS EXHAUSTING?

The short answer? No. The long answer? While it might not always be this exhausting, parenting is an ever-changing experience. Each age comes with new, exciting and exhausting challenges, but the truth of the matter is that it is totally worth it.

IS MY CHILD POOPING ENOUGH?

Your baby’s bowel movements will change depending on how much they are eating and what they are consuming. If you are breastfeeding your baby may poop more often than those that are being formula fed. Breast milk contains a natural laxative which makes for more poop while formula fed babies are more likely to become constipated. If you suspect your baby is constipated the best thing you can do is schedule an appointment with your doctor.

WILL I EVER SLEEP AGAIN?

Of course, you will, just maybe not tonight. Being sleep deprived is totally normal. The important thing is to find ways to cope, like taking a nap when you can, or asking for help when you need it.

There are so many different concerns new parents have and it is totally common to feel concerned and overwhelmed. Make sure you ask for help when you feel as though you need it and do not hesitate to ask for advice when you need it.

Congratulations on your new parental status. Just remember, you will do just fine.
